HOW TO OBTAIN A TEMPORARY RESIDENCE CERTIFICATE
You have legal grounds to obtain a temporary residence permit if you are a foreigner or a stateless person and have arrived in Ukraine:

for employment;
-
for training;
-
for the implementation of international technical assistance projects;

for preaching within the activities of a registered religious organization;
-
to participate in the activities of structural units of foreign non-governmental organizations;
-
for cultural, scientific, educational, volunteer activities;
-
to work as a correspondent or a representative of foreign media, to reunite a family, etc.
WHAT DOCUMENTS WILL BE REQUIRED
The exact list of documents that must be submitted to the Territorial Center of the LCA depends on your specific grounds for temporary residence.
However, in any case, you will need the following documents:

passport document;
-
type D visa;
-
identity card of the legal representative, and a document confirming the authority of the person as a legal representative, if you apply through a representative;
-
duly certified translation into Ukrainian of the page of the passport document;
-
a valid health insurance policy for the entire term of the certificate and its copy;
-
a document confirming payment of the administrative fee for the issuance of a certificate, or a document exempting from payment;
-
documents confirming the legality of the grounds for stay in Ukraine.
REFUSAL TO ISSUE A CERTIFICATE
Unfortunately, it is not always possible to obtain a residence permit in another state. The law establishes the grounds for a possible refusal to issue it:

another valid certificate is available;
-
violated the term of legal stay in Ukraine, there is a decision on forced return, expulsion or entry ban, etc .;
-
documents and information about your identity are not submitted in full, or are not confirmed through the databases of registers, are forged, invalid, etc.

You have submitted knowingly false information or forged documents;
-
We have received a message that your actions threaten national security, public order, health, protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens
-
In other cases provided by law.
APPEAL OF REFUSAL TO ISSUE A CERTIFICATE
If you believe that the refusal to issue you a certificate was illegal and unjustified, you can appeal the decision through the LCA or directly in court.
IMPORTANT! This possibility of appeal is available only within 1 month from the date of receipt of a copy of the decision.
VALIDITY PERIOD OF THE CERTIFICATE
As a general rule, a temporary residence permit is issued for a period of 1 year.
Then you need to continue its validity according to the same procedure as the initial registration.
IMPORTANTLY! Request for renewal of the certificate is allowed no later than 15 days before the end of the legal period of stay.
Terms may vary depending on the reason for permanent residence:
work in Ukraine - for the period specified in the work permit;
study in Ukraine - for the period of study specified in the order from the educational institution;
implementation of international projects - for the period specified in the project registration card;
legal entities - 2 years;
persons who provided assistance to military formations in Ukraine - 3 years.
